Paul Watford and his family started their trip with air flights from three different cities all ending up in Miami within one hour of each other.
Their airport transportation for the group of eight was waiting for them and took them to their Miami Beach hotel. They were amazed at their large hotel lobby and registration. They could not wait to check into their rooms and found them perfect. One room was a corner room with a double view. The view encouraged them to take a walk on the beach. They then returned to the lobby in time to meet with their Cruise Planners and receive their Tangerine Travelers’ “Bon Voyage” gifts.
The group was very pleased with their gifts and noted one gift would come in handy on their last day of the voyage. They could use the oversized backpack to bring home their last evening outfits.
Next stop, Lincoln Road and South Beach. The group used Miami Beach’s free trolley service to Lincoln Road where they enjoyed an early Latin dinner at Yuca (Young Urban Cuban American). Paul especially liked this corner because right across the street is a great bakery named “Paul”. Here is where the group had all types of ‘sweet’ selections.
Lincoln road gave the group all sorts of opportunities that included many categories of restaurants, shops, The New World Center of the Performing Arts, sightseeing, etc.
Sunday morning the group arrived early to the seaport, checked-in onboard the second largest ship in the fleet and the fun started. Paul’s reaction was; “Massive ship and lots of excitement”.
First port stop: Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Horseback riding for all.
The group had a large variation in age, they discover that the trip had something for every age group”: “The group enjoyed all the shipboard clubs. The younger members of the group are doing their own thing throughout the ship. There is so much to do on the ship that the main dining room did not see us until the third day. They did birthday celebrations for all three of our birthdays at the same time. That was cool.”
We took a group picture with our very helpful staff.
We enjoy our San Juan, PR tour. Lots of sites for the traveling eye.
The ship’s dining room is so large and multi-levels that you can have diner on the Balcony, so to speak.
Shore trips were a great addition to the ship board fun.
